>>45085448For me its really just weird because the base form of Oshawott and Dewott invoke this very quick anime swordsman vibe. They grab their scalchop then slash everything they can. They are mobile and light footed, Samurott is very large and sluggish looking, specifically on ground for me. It would be better imo if it was just bipedial like the prior forms or even Charmander who naturally is on two feet but can naturally adjust to a more primal all fours run too. Something about this swordsman being oddly locked to a more quadrapedial design feels just a little weird.
And I know they are trying to go for the heavily armored shogun Samurai, and I think that could have worked fine standing on two feet, Golisopod & Bisharp did it. This could have been perfect for it too.
