Also you can easily build your team around expectations and trick the opponent in believing another Pokemon is going to be used as Mega, while dynamax is usually just either "use your strongest pokemon" or "run through a weakened team"
Many Mega pokemon require strategy (like when you have to Mega evolve, which is-believe it or not- not always the best option). Changing typing, abilities and stats can be good or bad depending on the situation, while Dynamax is only bad if your opponent happened to avoid damage during those 3 turns and has Dynamax on his own, without you being able to do it anymore, which is easily avoided by either waiting for the opponent to "waste" their Dynamax or weakening the opponents team to a point where you can just run through it with Dynamax.
There is a reason most Fan formats only banned specific Megas, while Dynamax was banned as a whole
