Just give this shitty franchise to Capcom already and make the gameplay more like Monster Hunter, where you control the Pokemon you catch.

As a longtime MH fan, I'm adamantly against this. I would love to see a "Pocket Monster Hunter" spin-off, but the mainline should not play like MH. Or have realtime combat at all. Stop with this meme.

Pokemon's core is great and largely shouldn't be changed. Perhaps streamline IVs and EVs a bit more so you don't have to go through a snoozefest like SWSH's battle tower or grind money for them. Instead, hand it to a developer willing to keep it faithful, but also willing to put in effort to make it worthwhile. More battle modes, more content overall. Or maybe just fire Ohmori and everyone who let him direct a fucking game, that might be enough.

It wouldn't be Monster Hunter, you retards. It would be similar to it, but have its own gameplay mechanics akin to Pokemon and obviously have an atmosphere much closer to Pokemon.

It's boring and empty because the people in charge of the IP don't actually care, not because its gameplay is stale. The fact that people are still guzzling down a rushed, stripped down mess like SWSH and enjoying it is testament to just how strong Pokemon's formula is.

The games definitely need to some new life breathed into them, but not through a total gameplay revision.

Oh, definitely. It's a very obvious idea that practically makes itself. Sadly, I think TPC would see the idea of hunting Pokemon as a big no-no despite how cool it'd be. Once again TPC ruins everything.
