If you're playing Singles 6v6, chances are you're doing so on Showdown. Showdown's teambuilder nowadays can literally spoonfeed you sets, and not too far off, you can just steal sample teams.
Doesn't mean these players are capable of any sense of synergy, adapt to the metagame, understand what to look for in the opponent's team, can condition players through double switches but also evaluate the risk/reward of such plays and when using them is actually reasonable and not a potential death sentence, and everything else that makes a good player.
VGC or Smogon, this isn't even 10% of the playerbase, and that's still generous.
