I still have my account from when I was 9 and hop on it from time to time. Neopets has some legitimately fun games and site quests/activities, and the newest creature designs keep getting better.

-The toxic subreddit
-The Neopets discord group, which has the most uptight assholes ever. Offend them once and they will hate you forever
-The neoboard cliques
-TNT, the worst of the worst who simply don't care about the game anymore, or you as a player. Freezing acocunt nelly-welly, not understand who the playerbase it, not touching the battledome, forgetting lore, ruining fucking everything
Neopets needs to have a complete 100% reboot or die already.

I had well over 500M+ neopoints and lost it all on the leak of 2012. They didn't even made an effort to help me get my stuff backl. I lost my account, the one I had since 2005. My entire childhood and formative years. I logged in almost religiously and only stopped when I was forced by outside forces such as not being able to afford internet collection or being grounded.
Did I get any help from TNT? The cheaters won.

And when I came back, I tried to become top player again, but cheaters always won.

Yeah the community is pretty garbage now, I've had several friends chainbanned out of pettiness when they were 100% legit and they have no desire to come back now. Lots of the remaining playerbase, clraik and the boards especially just want to ban everyone else to "increase the value" of their UCs and shit. And don't even get me started on TNT, who acknowledge that the vast majority of the playerbase is adults now, hold parties with booze for SDCC, release fucking jewelry merch instead of plushes that people want, but then still insist on keeping it child friendly in draconian ways.

God the Mutant Vandagyre is atrocious and I'm a fan of mutants. The Vandagyre has some neat options despite its highly limited pool, but that ain't one chief.
