Once you learn about Natures, IVs, and EVs, it truly dampens the experience.
It's why I hack even in casual runs. I just set all my Pokemon to have neutral natures, 15 in all IVs, and evenly distributed EVs. That way I have control over the shitty RNG without giving myself an edge over the endgame.

IVs should be removed. EVs should be kept because those are a lot easier to control than IVs. Natures were fine in gens 3 and 4 when contests existed but now they don't really serve a purpose anymore so I guess they might as well be deleted unless they had some other effect like changing a pokemon's idle animation

Btw. How could anyone be competitive previous to Gen 6 when they introduced the Destiny Knot. Afaik, before then there wasn't really a good way to breed for good IVs, or specific IVs, but Hidden Power was still a big part of the VGC metagame. So how did that work? They just all genned their Pokemon?

What's the point of repeatedly soft resetting if the Aerodactlyl's IVs aren't guaranteed to be good? Might as well take what you get or inject.

I get the appeal of every pokemon being unique, and some being better in some departments than others, yadda yadda, and that's all fine and dandy for the main game when the level is all that matters anyway, but once you reach the post-game and the game expects you to play competitive it would be nice not to be bound by these dumbass rules.

Imagine if they had made the Synchronize change earlier (100% chance of the same nature instead of 50% chance), this all would have been so much easier. Not as convenient as Nature Mints obviously but still, idk why it wasn't always like that.
