Yes just don't like /vp/ did. Stay comfy as you the whole time as rushing will just make you angry. I can't tell you how to stay comfy because I don't know what is considered comfy to you but I suggest some of the following:
>Don't pick any mons because they are good. Just pick them because you like them
>When you go to the wild area for the first time, spend at least a few hours chilling, fighting some level 60 mons, finding new Pokemon and doing raids for the fun of it
>Go back to the wild area each and every time you finish a gym and don't leave until you've done at least 5 laps of raids to se what's new in the raids
>Constantly/Freely rotate mons around at least 12 pokemon to have fun
>Never fast travel unless you're using the train
>Feel free to shiny hunt halfway through if you're that type of person
>Don't catch box legendary unless you want/need to. Just walk away before the match
>Do DLC content first if you want if you buy it.
