I agree, especially the soulful Gen 1 sprite that made it seem ethereal and untameable. Dialga and Palkia look larger than life which makes sense given their governances but they lack tasteful aesthetic.

palkia and dialga are gods, and for this reason, op seems to despise them and considers them "the start of the end"
however, this statement doesn't make sense, because gen 3 also had legendary pokemons that are gods, like groudon, kyogre and rayquaza

while I'm not personally a fan of the legendary birds aesthetically, I prefer the gen 1 method of just having them be super rare mons instead of god beasts like all the major ones have been since gen 3 or so
if there's one upside to having an excess of legendaries it's that a lot of the unimportant ones are able to fill the role of being some super rare mon and nothing else

this also isn't counting how Zygarde is introduced to you in SM or shit like that, but generally the problem seems to be more that they keep putting these fuckers in the plot more than they should be
