It's...okay. Big strong attackers who aren't that fast or bulky aren't great and iirc Reborn works with Gen 7 movesets so you can't get Parting Shot, but Dark/Fighting is a good typing for a few major battles.
Scrafty is better but you won't be able to get it until right before the 5th gym.

Bewear is also really good, only if it has Fluffy though
Generally stuff that can take a hit is better in Reborn and most tough fangames

there's no singular best dark type i think, but malamar, scrafty, and bisharp are all top tier and you can have them for most of the game

you can get hydreigon, tyranitar, greninja (with life orb and a lot of coverage too mind), and incineroar in the current update though

Being fast and frail is generally only acceptable on a pokemon that can set up and sweep if you create an opening for them, or else one that can rely on defensive typing.
Given that the Reborn devs pretty much systematically went through and removed every avenue to do that, frail pokemon are generally just ass.

Pangoro is amazing honestly. Takes a while to get going but once you get the Trick Room TM, it becomes one of the best sweepers possible thanks to Iron Fist Hammer Arm hitting so goddamn hard.

What I do know is that Pokemon Reborn is a poorly and laughably written, poorly balanced, poorly paced mess of a game that reeks of the game design sins people with no experience making games tend to make, and it's STILL better than anything GF has made from XY onwards.
