I'm still mad that they actually had a good thing for gyms going and they couldn't even be assed to keep it up for more than 6 gyms.

Raids don't refresh well but otherwise it's way quicker than the PSS. In ORAS the PSS also lagged and took forever to log in, it wasn't designed to work well with other features.

Has nothing to do with Nintendo. They can make the game peer2peer and still have some semblance of a functional online infrastructure for Pokemon.

Has everything to do with Nintendo, because they never gave us actualy servers that could stand the heavy server load even though they PROMISED US that we would have them when we started paying for online, from Reggie Fils Aime mouth himself.

GF's Pokemon games have always used Nintendo's network, if they had to turn down server load that can only be because Nintendo asked them to.

It did, due to features in ORAS that weren't in XY like secret bases. Try going online in ORAS and then XY, the difference is noticeable.
