This is interesting, an ambiguous chess monster is a cool concept. But I think something is off about this guy's face. Not sure why that didn't make it look like a bishop's top. That would give it a nose and a mouth while sticking to the theme

Not her but they do have similar shapes and elements (arms, horns, eyes, "leg" etc). I have noticed the same thing with my fakemon, many of them have ringed horns/limbs, pronounced arms, similar eyes, mouths etc. I guess it's a common occurrence when one person is doing all the designs themselves.

As mediocre as most of Pokemon Masters' gameplay is, they made a lot of improvements like this that should really be in the main games already.
