Catch and release is a thing in real life and its treated like a sport. There also that whole part about catching the biggest fish ever in Silver and Gold version from the Fishing Guru at Lake Rage.

Reminder that Ghetsis was the guy who gave N the stupid plan to try and 'liberate' Pokemon (which is impossible). N was just a pawn in his game and didn't fully understand the actual flaws of the Pokemon Universe because he grew up in an environment filled with only abused Pokemon and a man who didn't care about him. So he spends the game trying to understand humans and Pokemon and comes to the conclusion that most Humans treat pokemon like friends and Pokemon like being with people. Only evil people seem to abuse pokemon.
The actual flaw of the universe has always been exploitation of Pokemon and a lack of true equality, not pokemon being slaves to their masters or anything like that. When a person tells N "Pokemon are our friends and family not our slaves" he should clap back with something like "You don't keep your human friends and family inside Pokeballs, you don't exploit them for fame and money. Are they really your friends/family if you can't treat them as equals and you exploit them like you are?" Or something like that.

Yes. Imagine if he wandered around like Jesus or Buddha and managed to persuade people through his sheer force of character. They could have had wild pokemon just appear to cut trees in his path or carry him across bodies of water. Imagine if he went around healing people's terminally ill pokemon and shit. Or if he straight up interrupts a trainer who was about to battle you and gets him to release his pokemon then and there through sheer charisma. Hell, the ranger regions don't even have pokeballs or trainers so it's not that unbelievable

Its harder than you'd think to get someone to release Pokemon. Or a better thing to say: Its hard to get Pokemon to leave their partners. To me if your Pokemon really loves you, after releasing them from their ball, they'd just stay with you anyways, because they love you and they like being with you. To me that would be what N would want to work for here. Show the world that humans don't need Pokeballs as their Pokemon can love and respect you without them.
