curiously normal zapdos one of the best counters to galar zapdos, the other being aegislash
defensive skarmory, corviknight, toxapex and slowbro will probably be checks too, depending if it retain some strong electric attack or no

Zapdos' physical movepool isn't very large but it has Brave Bird, U-turn, Wild Charge and Steel Wing which should carry over. It will almost certainly have Close Combat and/or High Jump Kick. Some possible coverage options might be Throat Chop, Stone Edge, Blaze Kick, Drill Run, but I honestly wouldn't worry about it, Fighting/Flying is amazing coverage and Hawlucha for example often only runs STABs.

I play ranked cart masters and Hawlucha can be pretty dangerous especially running life orb or focus sash. It can hit surprisingly hard and has amazing speed.

Anyway for people playing the actual game, not only do you get a +2 attack when hit by Intimidate, but you're also getting a +2 attack if either of your pokemon are hit by the Max Normal, Dragon, Bug, Ghost or Dark moves. It's why Braviary is a popular pick right now. Not only is he disuading you from lowering his stats, but it means you can't just attack his partner with a stat lowering Max Move either.
