How do I rekindle my love for this franchise again? Or even should I?

I was an avid /vp/ poster in the past and I havebe played all of the games. I've been here since ORAS. But I've grown more cynical about the prospects of this franchise as time went on. Actual game discussion is circular and toxic, fan projects fall flat on their face, competitive is a cesspool of shit, etc. Despite still having some rudimentary knowledge in those subjects. The only thing keeping me from ditching the franchise entirely is unironically the porn (human and Pokemon).

I would prefer my only interaction with this franchise not only be with my dick but actually getting into something that's worth discussing in relation to the franchise seems like a chore and is interesting? Any suggestions? Or am I lost cause?
