I liked the idea some anons had that the abilities would be letting them hit Ground and Fairy types respectively. Would have made it a hell of a lot more interesting.

Well. They could potentially give this ability to mons in the future that aren't Electric or Dragon type, so it's not technically the same. In that case it would be more like Steelworker. Also one small benefit is that this works even if affected by Soak etc

That's a fair point. Also the name transistor makes sense for the ability's effect. Idk why I got my hopes up and wished for something crazy.

Seems to be a Steelworker reskin.
Its the same game description of Steelworker.
Steely Spirit says Ally and Fairy/Dark Aura says every Pokemon. So I its even better than adaptibility:

Exemple on a 80 base power move

Nothing= 80 x 1.5(Stab) = 120
Adaptability= 80 x 2(Stab) = 160
Dragon's Maw / Transistor= 80 x 1.5(stab) x 1.5(ability)= 180
