How autistic are you when playing through the main game in pokemon? Do you reset to get good IV, natures, etc? If so how high are your standards?

The only time I reset for a good nature was with Dracovish in Sword. It had already taken me more than an hour of spamming the digging guy to get one of each fossil required to make it, so I decided to just reset until I got a Jolly Dracovish with Strong Jaw.
Never again. It was literally so boring I was beginning to doze off

I wont EV train my starter, and i typically don't reset for my starter unless its very bad nature for my plan. My second pokemon i wont really EV train either but i try and get a good nature. My third pokemon and beyond i will EV train, because by then im typically far enough in the game where i have options for good EV training spots. I never fucked with IVs and dont ever know how they work. I know you have to breed a lot for them. Could someone give me a dirty run down?

I try to go for a beneficial nature (i.e. Mixed or +Speed or +Sp.Atk for Charmander, Adamant/Brave for Groudon etc.) and get somewhat good IV's (at least 20+ in the Pokemon's best stats) - obviously this was all made much easier with 3x31iv's on Legendaries post-Gen6.

I've dropped all my autism about stats and even natures and abilities, I just make do with what I get. My autism is almost exclusive to always starting new playthroughs in place of unfinished old ones because if I leave a playthrough for too long I just give up on it

Similar to your team configuration, mine has been following certain rules the past two gens.

I only reset my starter if it's not the gender I want or has a really obviously bad important stat (for example, the first female Fennekin I saw in my last X play through hd like 5 IVs and a negative nature for especial attack, so I reset that)

When I was a kid I reset and caught pokémon with the ideal natures, before I even touched the game I spent hours crafting a perfect team that could cover all types with mons found before midgame, it was fun, but that lost its appeal to me, now I use the pokémon I think look the coolest or cutest

Unless there aren't enough Pokemon left from the region I'm in to make a diverse team, then I just find things I haven't used.

I try and get an female eevee or ditto so I can breed things for the "correct" gender later.
eevee is specific because of how many evolutions it has (and how it's correct genders are about 50/50 split)

I try to use team members either from the region or part of a cross gen line that has a member in the region, especially if it's a remake game (e.g. Gliscor in Heart Gold). Other than that and an occasional one type challenge I'll just use whatever I feel like in the moment.

Depends on where I'm at in the game and how well I can judge the IVs of whatever I'm getting. I usually reset for a decent enough nature on starters (or decent enough stats in gens 1 and 2) but it doesn't have to be perfect. Sometimes when catching Pokemon I'll try again if the nature is particularly bad (like a modest physical attacker) but anything that doesn't affect it too badly is whatever. Late/post-game gift Pokemon and legendaries I will re-roll for at least somewhat ideal stats (or in more recent gens, the three guaranteed perfect IVs on the right stats) though the QOL stuff in gen 8 has generally made that almost a complete non-issue.

The most autistic I've ever gotten in modern Pokemon was intentionally hunting for a Riolu with its three perfect IVs in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed for an XY run. But since that little loophole with wild baby Pokemon got fixed in ORAS there's no point to doing any of that anymore.

The Pokemon have to have different primary colors. I can't fucking stand opening my party and seeing sharing almost all the same color. Also I try to avoid type redundancies.
Natures also bother me to the point I wish they'd just remove them. I'll reset if the nature is complete shit, but not if it's just okay or neutral. Abilities also can be whatever unless there's something that's obviously better or that much more useful.
