In Desmume 2019, while playing Black 2, why am i getting these weird lines when I enter Mistralton Cave? I am using a rom by frieNDS.

Pretty sure that would usually be darkness covering the screen until you used Flash. For some reason the emulator broke the filter. Try using Flash to see if it goes away.

Sweet thanks guys. Thats what it was. Thankfully i had a spare Magnemite on me so i didnt have to mess with anyone's moveset. I bet there is a way to tinker with the settings to get rid of that layer or filter or whatever.

As some have said, Desmume has problems with dark caves in Gen 5.

I tried melonDS and it lagged while recent desmume build didn't And im not having any problems at all except for this just now. I also use an image viewer called Honeyview to put a little picture over the blank space for my own joy while im playing.

Are some pokemon insanely hard to catch? I can't get this basculin to shake more than twice for about nine pokeballs pokeball and insta popped out of a great ball i just threw.

Thats what i was thinking. He was paralyzed and in the low yellow and he is just level 23. I finally caught him after 2 more great balls. thatkjs was 9 or more pokeballs and 3 great balls. I feel like i got robbed.

It could just be my quick capture software. I drag crosshairs across whatever is on my screen and it might compress it. Or it could be that i am playing full screen. Here is a slightly lower res with a prtscrn capture. It looks how i remember it unless i am trippin.

Hey cool! I figured it out. In the 3D settings, there was a "smooth textures" box that i clicked. I thought it helped the 3D along with the anti aliasing, but i didn't realize it was fucking up my sprite.

Go to desmume's toolbar>config>3d settings and change "3d rendeting engine" to openGL it fixes all the pokemon bugs
