We need a proper Kanto remake.
A Kanto with day/night.
A Kanto with Galarian Pokemon.
A Kanto with a proper Mew.
A Kanto without Pokemon Go mechanics involved.
A Kanto with all the islands from FR/LG.
A Kanto with Mt. Silver.
This is what the people want.

It was good in its own right, but this is not enough. Wild battle encounters, actual difficulty (see candies and partner Pokémon), actual, not just muh unown dunjin, but actual post game content like the sevii isles (and more than the master trainers because half of them were not challenging or even logical whatsoever), and all the accoutrements that previous games have had, without making us feel like literal children (see pika balloon and “Baddy Bad”), shouldn’t be asking too much here.

Since the National Dex was cut, we can slowly start introducing it by putting all SS Pokemon in the next game. Then, we can build it up through remakes until we have a full national dex again..!

I don't trust writers to make something good so I wouldn't change it too much. What I hate is when new writers undermine the old stories and tell fans that they only like the old stories because of nostalgia. People where in a different era experiencing a whole other complex ecosystem of ideas so you should try to preserve that as much as possible.

The only way I want a Kanto revisit is if it is part of an expansive All-Region game.

We visited Kanto for the first time
We visited Kanto as a post-game region
We visited Kanto as an updated remake
We visited Kanto as a chibi reboot

The only iteration we haven't had is a direct sequel starting in Kanto set after Red has come through and won. We sort of have it with Gen2 though.

Being able to go to kanto is not going on a journey through kanto so remove gen 2 and gen 4 as well even though gen 4’s kanto is good. An actual Kanto game with soul wouldn't be half bad.

- Flesh out cities and dungeons with more detail, more houses, etc.
- Design the gyms uniquely, like Unova did.
- Legendaries involve more puzzles and storylines than just finding them in a cave.
- An actual mythical in-game event with Mew.
- Maneuverable camera angles would be good.
- Include cross-gen evolutions for some more variety.
- Build a damn bridge on Cycling Road so the boats can ACTUALLY get through.
- More Rocket backstory and depth could make it interesting (especially if you include more to their storyline and more encounters against them).
- Sevii Islands post-game or even a Johto post-game would be a neat addition and change to what we've mostly seen. If Sevii islands were fleshed out and better-designed, that would be cool.

A new Kanto game COULD be cool, but GF would never put in the work for it.
