The only glaring flaw for the past games for me was making it so hard to delete hms. Your buddy would learn a new move, but you had to delete a good move to make room instead of cut. It was kinda annoying. Oh yeah, and move tutors weren't always around either.

It's bad enough that it's trumpets to begin with, because honestly trumpets are a hideous instrument, but put on top of it the fact that they're shitty synth trumpets courtesy of the GBA's failure of a sound chip, and you have the most unbearable gen of Pokemon in existence. Plus the awful region design (hello water routes!)
