I would assume either social media is run by the bad guys but post game will be absorbed by a good guy we met within the game, or it will be a birthplace of special Pokémon and you’ll have to enter the internet to catch and fight them, revealing a traversible world of references memes and arguments.

I ran a Pokemon Tabletop Adventures game with Team Glam using their influencer trainers to sway public opinion and manipulate elections to control the outcome of Unova's leadership. The players were able to eventually defeat them by becoming more famous influencers and would live cast them defeating important members of Team Glam. The players then used their fame and followers to supplant Unova's leaders themselves and become the new Elite 4. They let Iris continue to be the champion.
