Gamefreak is probably going to put the full nat dex in the game tomorrow, with a few transfer only from go.

This will boost their sale of poke coins in the app and generate them more revenue.

They'll patch in the remaining ones in 2021. Probably with release of Sinnoh remakes (they can also port over the battle frontier, Cynthia and other character models to do a PWT facility as well)

Or, and this is a wild concept, because it involves buisness decisions a level higher than the average /vp/ user's paygrade - they LEAVE OUT those pokémon still missing from SS but convieniently added to the next game (likely DP remakes) and ensure people buy at least one Galarian based game+its DLC and one copy of the new pair of games, thereby ensureing a clean sweep of sales in a Generation for the first time since the anime raged and people ate up Kanto 3 times over.

That's not going to be a nice shitshow to have
Mind you, I'm not saying they will but it makes much more financial sense to act like they performed a herculean task and patch compatibility for both gen 8 games using the (already paid for) assets from both than skip out on it to save a few measley bucks and have another Dexit-type shitshow on the media/news/social media/forums (and no, regardless of sales, you do NOT want your job scrutinized by negative attention twice in a row, especially when you're the weakest player in the room)

The entire dexit thing was people upset that Sword and Shield only had the Galar Pokedex Pokémon available (even when there wasn't a transfer method available at launch.) Each DLC compatibility patch has added in more of them but after tomorrow there's still 241 that won't be compatible.

Nowhere in this statement does it leave room for partial compatibility. It's a very clear statement.

Furthermore, on the off chance that you're not lying out your ass on the original post's intent, that makes you very poor at communication and thus you have no right to be calling anyone else a smoothbrain. But in all fairness the Latias poster is also retarded for assuming compatibility with a hypothetical second gen VIII game wouldn't work like XY and ORAS.
