Even if this is beggining to change today, for a good portion of their history nintendo has always hated Brazil deeply for copying the famicom, making it hard to sell their consoles there due to ass-backwards electronic entertainment laws and not returning much of a profit on the country anyway (Sega and Sony always dominated it market-wise)

I'm ok with gen 9 being massive fucking shitty as long as it's entirely set and based on [boring real life location that I think that it's cute and funny]
Just imagine having a crazy ass pokemon adventure in brazil (and by crazy ass pokemon adventure, I mean a hallway simulator where countless intrusive NPCs keep acting as your tour guides)

That would be really cool. They can make it so the entire region is really into pokemon battles like Galar but unlike Leon their champion gets absolutely shit on by everyone, only being able to take 1 pokemon of the other champions.
