This Gen generally has some of the best battle themes I'd say, Birds are a new favorite.

They absolutely butchered the regi theme holy fuck. It's commiting to these electronic instruments but the arrangement itself is completely unchanged which means it stylistically clashes and just sound empty and awkward. No amount of reverb you slap on this shit can fix that.

All of these have tons of problems, just the same problems as the base game soundtrack. Too much loud clutter, not fitting, disingenuous use of instruments to try and force a theme, etc. Only track I'd say stands out is the birds theme after the ridiculously messy beginning.
Heavily disappointed with Gen 8's OST as a whole, and the DLC really was just more of the same. I also like the game itself, for what it's worth.

I like the opening with what kinda sounds like regi vocals but I've gotten pretty hearing this theme recycled so much and this isn't the best rendition of the theme either, was kinda hoping they'd try and make the new theme a little different from the others. Kind of empty.
