Necrozma is honestly the only one of these new version/game bait mons that doesn't seem like it fits with the mascot Pokes it was made with. Unless you count Suicune, but they knew it didn't belong with Ho-Oh and Lugia, and it's a part of another trio.
Zygarde's name even goes with the "XY" theme they had going for with Xerneas and Yveltal, "XYZ."
