There's so little content in this expansion pass that you're essentially just paying for the new pokemon.

third versions are notoriously scummy business practices that only got by in older gens because dlc wasn't feasible on the consoles
now that dlc is something they can and have done only the most absolute hardcore shills (a lower number than you would think, mind you) could ever defend them releasing a third version with new content. anything made now would sell like absolute garbage even by third version standards.
