I'm really intrigued by this. Can the Rider Calyrex Dynmax as well, or only the base form? This is the third "anomaly" after the Wolf Duo being unable to Dynamax at all, and Eternatus only being able to temporarily access its Eternamax in order to launch Eternabeam.

I wonder if there's still hope for a Gigantamax Calyrex to be added in the next few months.
I mean, they added G-Slowpoke earlier this year, so they clearly could randomly introduce new forms even without a full DLC.

Thank you for confirming this. It could simply be an easy little "blue = royalty" nod as some of the Anons are saying, but I really hope it's something more. Also I'm surprised they let Rider Calyrex Dynamax, considering how tough they are to begin with.

I guess the lore explanation is that the main native Galar legendaries were somehow immune to Eternatus' energy (the red aura), unlike every other pokemon
So while wolves are completely unaffected by it and developed anti-Dynamax moves, Calyrex managed to use the energy his own way (the blue aura) and Dynamax independently from Eternatus
