Yes, the co-op legends will be good awhile, but it is fine with randoms so everyone just does it like that.
Normal raid gens that get hosted by namefags (Boomer, Lucy, Blue, Schieggy) are NOT hacked. They use nothing external. They go through a process of checking each an in-game shiny system (called frames). Some take days or weeks to skip for them to be shiny. Hacked raids are completely different, and for the most part looked down upon.
