>>45200972Not that guy but my favorite gym leaders in this game are Kabu, Melony/Gordie and then Nessa, I really wanted to like Alleister but he plays too much to his archetype and misses the target, some of his lines about the sea talking are genuinely great but they play the shy boy too fucking much for a ghost specialist
Kabu is great I'll rank him as high as Elesa parading with you or skyla taking you on a trip to fight a shiny Haxorus, being an hyper competitive old guy that focuses too much on WoW at first then finding him reminiscing about catching his Torkoal is just quite memorable
Gordie and Melody are a great dynamic, we rarely see family focus on these games outside of the dragon masters, tate & Liza or Norman so having both of them competing for the gym spot is an interesting concept, I also can't stop laughing at the idea of an old woman going to the middle of the desert with a fucking lapras to do resistance training or Gordie putting looking cool above everything else, they are just fun characters
Nessa is hyper competitive for a second gym placement, having her lose her cool after losing reminds me a bit of Maxie in ORAS and her bouncing off more cutesy/laid back characters in the star tournament made her my third favorite actually dethroning Alleister whose gimmick kinda went stale, there's just more fun with Nessa
