Every line is just vague, Calyrex has memory loss due to its power decrease, and he has been gone for so long that everyobe else forgot. Example conversation:

When they did Necrozma, they showed it taking over Solgaleo and then Lunala separately. I'd bet on Calyrex using both steeds, showing both forms but at different points instead.

Bitch...ice is a fucking amazing ofensive type, this thing has also ground and figthing coverage. It competes with DM-Necrosma, but nothing is stoping you from having two phsycal trick room abuser in the same team, just like people used to run stakataka and DM-necrosma in the same team.

It doesn't need to when Ice is such a good offensive type that half the mons you're hitting are for 4x. That's the whole issue with it. There's no reason to run an ice type when ice coverage gives you all of the benefits of one-shotting Garchomp/Salamence/Gliscor/Landorus/etc without the weaknesses of running an ice type defensively.

Looking at their entries, it sounds like the ice horse would be the one willing to do something like that. It described as being belligerent and taking what it wants by force. The ghost horse just wants peace and silence.

At least in singles, ghost rider had it beat. It looks to be the other way for doubles though since TR is a staple there and it can run a weakness policy set with its metric ton of weaknesses.

Ever since you met Calyrex he keeps telling you that he is nowhere near the power he used to have, and he can't remember things from his past, his steed included.

I think it's clear that he had both of them.
And the fact that Calyrex never get to blossom the flower on his head (something he states he can do) even after he gets his horse back makes me think that he is going to end up as the next Kyurem, with a third form that is supposed to exists but we'll probably never see.
