But the other anon is right, the trio was already retconned once when they added regigigas, so I don't really care if they do it again. Again, it just feels like free fanservice for no actual reason. Wrong, Lugia was already related to the three birds all the way back in the Pokemon Yellow manga. The three birds were featured prominently in the Red/Blue/Green arc, the Yellow Arc was about Lance assembling what he would need to summon the ultimate Pokemon, even stronger than the other three combined. And he did, shortly before its anime debut.

It was always intended.

Regieleki fuckin' rocks design wise. It's body is a light bulb with a spark plug for a lower half and "cables" for arms and it's bound in insulated rings to keep it stable and in control. I think that as far as electric golems go, it's a damn good one.

Also he has the most adorable animations of any mon I've seen recently. His little dance is as precious as the little jig Eelektross does in Gen 5.

Honestly compare the animations of the two:
Regieleki is energetic and happy, the "plug" is actually it's fucking tiny legs that form little lightning bolts when it dances and it's "arms" can tear open into clusters that resemble torn cables or streaks of electricity.

Regidrago, meanwhile, just....sits there, floating. His physical attack animation is just him doing a fucking headbutt.

It's honestly sad how they didn't really give Regidrago the same amount of love that clearly went into Regieleki.

What's the lore for the original regis? I mean oficial lore, no fan theories. There was literally none in the games they debuted, and they just added that Regigigas created them in the next gen (to justify its existence, more than the trio).
