I can never return to vanilla Crystal after having played Crystal Clear, it pretty much makes vanilla obsolete (unless you care about rival Silver and Team Rocket storyline).

CC adds so much improvements and QoL additions and even adds following 'mons like in HG/SS.
You can see the DVs, Happiness and Hidden Power type of your 'mons and the romhack is still trade compatible with the original games. They also upped the difficulty which was the only flaw in gen 2 (low level curve).

CC is perfect to build a competitive team with and then transfer to vanilla games or Stadium.

if you're playing CC i hope it's 2.0 BETA, anything after that is filled with SJW leftist propaganda. They made half the NPCs black and any mention of it in the discord gets you banned

but yeah CC 2.0 beta is great, one of the best romhacks i've ever played
