>DLCs main charm is to bring back old pokémon
>DLC stories are as bad as base game story
>First DLC wild area is as empty as the base game
>Your walking pokémon can't follow you if you run
>Second DLC breaks pokémon fossils lore
>Second DLC breaks regis lore
>DLC main legendaries have awful designs
>Second DLC main legendary was designed to be quadruped and split to have more extra and uninspired legendaries

Beat it for the first time just now, really went down to the wire with just my Cinderace and Leon's Charizard left. Won by a sliver. All the character interactions and the general presentation of the thing make for a really engaging true finale to the generation.

Unironically would’ve been fun as fuck if it became set level the first time you bet it and the gym leaders had better sets. In its current state it would’ve been a fun post-game thing if that post game didn’t come a fucking year after

Disappointing. I didn't exactly expect them to go full World Tournament and have every gym leader, elite four, and champion from every gen back with new competitive teams, but they could at least make the trainers in game not shit.

Cool, but they should go full dream match with next game and have every Pokemon, Mega, Z, Dynamax, and notable trainer with singles, doubles, multiple, triple, and rotation formats. Maybe bring back old items like Beserk Gene and Gems as well.
