I don't like his design but I quite like his plot line and his characterization. Feels like a DQ plotline which is a good look for Pokemon

I fucking hated him and thought he was truly the worst design in Pokemon until the screenshots of his storyline came out and we got quotes from him like "Crownus bloomus." Now I think he's kind of appealing in an ugly but cute way, and it feels like Stockholm Syndrome setting in. I just want to hate him with a passion but now I think he's a lovably dorky character. Help me escape this mental prison, bros.

I didn't buy it, I haven't played it, and I don't intend to. I still don't like the games for a multitude of reasons, but I admit that they made Calyrex's story somewhat appealing.
