>>45208305>no one plays these games for their challengeSo, and big question here, what DO they play them for?
Gameplay is boring, mainly spam A level. Less grinding is needed now, which is a double-edged sword, because overlevelling is easy to accidentally do unless you're constantly swapping teams, but powering through the story is effortless, better for people with busy lives, and to let the dedicated reach the total freedom post-game easier.
Story is drivel, and honestly has been since the beginning not much changed their.
The puzzles and side challenges have gone from hard to a 4thgrader Sky Pillar, Regis, and Ruins of Alph to... well basically nonexistent. Crown tundra is the closest we've had in years, and even its just follow the quest markers level aside from the regi 1-liner riddles of Whistle, walking with Cryogonal, and Everstone, the giant temples they're written on right there in the open, nay towering over the landscape, no searching necessary.
The animations are lackluster to full on jank, as are many of the newer designs, and that comes most to the forefront during "comfy" elements like Amie/Camping and story stuff, so it's not like it's terribly endearing, or rather it keep breaking that endearingness due to severe lack of polish, because those features are largely afterthoughts.
I guess the music is good? You don't have to buy the game to listen to the soundtrack though.
Cooming? It's got a lot of waifus/husbandos to choose from, i suppose, both human and furry, but you're gonna be blueballed the entire time cause its trying to be a kids game, rated E, not even E10. They literally took out the gamecorner with no replacement just so they could go from PEGI 12 to PEGI 7. You're going to get literal 0 pandering, 0 fanservice, 0 suggestive, outside of initial design elements like Salazzle, Olivia, and Lopunny. So many better, more cooperative options to coom to, tbqh.
Legitimately, what IS the fucking draw?
