I'd always rather have the chance to get something good against the boss even if our team takes a lot of damage in the process. If anyone gets especially fucked I just let them take the new Pokemon instead

I’ve seen quite a few people saying they prefer the AI to playing with others, but my first time around when I hit Suicune one of my AI partners started by setting up Trick Room and then proceeded to spam Icy Wind for the rest of the fight.

The Necrozma quest might not be worth spending a ton of time on. You only get 2 rewards: an Ability Patch and a Beast Ball. Also, it wasn't even Peony's clue. Somehow random NPC woman from the lair lobby lost a page of her research papers and it somehow ended up in Peony's base where you found it. It's never explained but my guess is it just fell on the ground and Nia tracked it in on her shoe.

This mode would have been actually fun if you could bring your own mons. If you're going to complain about how I would only bring lvl 100 mons, they could easily scale levels so my 4 mons are set at 50 and the the legendary is set at 75 or something like that.

It's not fun watching NPCs pick the wrong moves and it's not fun watching randoms make the wrong decisions, either.

Nia mentioned that Oranguru's Instruct ability would let you control the other Pokemon's moves, but how often is Oranguru available for you to choose? Just make him on the default list and that would solve a lot of the DLC's problems.

I've heard that Nia gives you the location to a specific Pokemon after you finish in the lair. Check with her each time you come back and she might tell you where to find Necrozma. Then you have its location marked until you can catch it to complete the quest. Might be more likely to get the location from her than to randomly stumble on it in the lair.

So can anyone confirm if you save a route to a legendary the game rolls for it to be shiny every run? I'm 40+ runs in trying to get a shiny Necrozma with no luck. The only shiny legendary i found so far was a shiny buzzwole from a "anything fine" route.

They have the same models as the trainers you battle on routes, so if they don't know the rules, maybe they think they have to battle them too? Or they want the berry heals more than items or new Pokemon.

Isn't the tutorial adventure GUARANTEED to spawn an NPC? I don't see why did at the very least test it there. There's nothing to the excuse either, because often times there's absolutely nothing on that path they choose to take.
It's either complete ignorance or malice, I refuse to think they're doing it on purpose.

Has anyone else had a legendary flee after they defeat them? I think we were on the last turn of the limit, and one of my teammates ko'd Suicune (it did the explosion animation), but then it said it fled into the den.

It hadn't attacked that turn, so I don't think we'd gone over the turn limit yet (into the 11th turn).

While the other 10 known Ultra Beasts have a chance of appearing in the Max Lair, Poipole is a static Gift. The Poison-type can be located in the lobby area of the Max Lair after completing 15 Dynamax Adventures and starting the Ultra Beast quest in The Crown Tundra’s post-game.

An NPC in the Max Lair will give you Poipole, saying it keeps getting away from her and causing issues in the area. It’ll be level 20 and have a pretty mediocre moveset to start.

You can evolve it into Naganadel by it leveling up while it knows Dragon Pulse.

Team is entirely made up of Ground and Rock types. Human party members keep outvoting me and choosing to take on water types when the legendary is an Electric Type. We somehow luck out and no water moves get used against us. And then we completely destroy Raikou when we get to it.

I'm not the best at this game but I tried to be courteous and not dynamax myself when one of the other party members had super effective moves and mine didn't. And I'd pass on the new Pokemon unless it was a better typing than mine or my Pokemon was in really rough shape.
