Some of those other mons are just expansions on the original concept, or references (Super Godzilla/SpaceGodzilla, recycled sawshark concept from gen 1, coniferous tree that has yellow spores combined with the concept of lizards shedding their tails in self-defense, the pinecones on Abomasnow's back opening up in the same way pinecones open IRL, but with icicles, etc) but that's basically the same with G-maxes so....
