>>45212032I guess Wii Sports is one of the best games ever made then. Platinum has the frontier, something you admitted yourself you were too retarded to enjoy, the villa that functions as an achievement system, about 20 hours in length, 100% of the pokemon that existed at the time, gym leader rematches, contests with poffin cooking, the underground and its secret bases, the event locations that the player can still access via fan servers keeping the classic distributions online, and it has the GTS and transfers baked right into the game.
Sword and Shield has a barren field with a controllable camera as its main piece of content which was done in OoT in '98. The main game plus the DLC is only about 17 hours of content, if that. The only battle facilities are the sparring and the tower, the tower being the most gutted one their is to date featuring fewer modes than the one in Platinum, the sparring is cool however and is like a cross between the factory and hall. You cook curry in SS but for no other reason that to cook curry. There's no contest like minigame to go with it, it's just the shitty currydex that only rewards you with a retextured ladle. SS removes pokemon and moves as well and even with two rounds of DLC it can't get it all back together. Outside of that your relegated to the busywork that is raids for anything meaningful which is terrible because the AI teammates are dumber than a box of rocks and the human teammates just quit constantly and whoop the pokemon's ass so it's never fun. Fuck you
