>>45213870Ironically, Platinum was the first game I never felt like buying, and when I pirated it I wasn't impressed. DP were just that bad for me. HGSS turned it around so hard I even bought ORAS, but I haven't bought a Pokemon game since, and despite seeing a spark of hope in USUM, I haven't even pirated SS yet. Yeah, the DLC has some interesting ideas, but all the interesting ideas in the world won't help the problems GF is facing just finishing the game. I kind of lied earlier, I downloaded the prototypes of Sword that leaked (though I haven't installed them on my Switch yet), and from what I can tell they barely had 2 years to fork the Let's Go engine into something reasonable (although I'm sure the year of planning they had between SM and forking off Let's Go at least had some use). They had to make maps, fuck around with some mechanical stuff, and make textures that don't look like shit for every single Pokemon in that amount of time. I'm surprised the game is only Sonic Forces mediocre and not Sonic 06 unplayable mess, but I feel like we're going to get that Pokemon game sooner than later unless they get their shit together or get off the "to sell toys" 3 year plans.
