In the crown tundra there are stones with writing detailing some of Calyrex lore and one of them says that Calyrex did lose to Eternatus

He was actually the one who put it to sleep, despite being messed up afterwards
And he fought Eternamax, wonder what Calyrex at his peak was like, he is also the only pokemon who doesn't shine of Eternatus' color while in dynamax.

I've looked all over and the only ones that seem to link it to eternatus is the fact is came from the north all beat to shit, and it was terrified of open hands.

You're talking about the tablet of Calyrex coming from the north near death until the humans there took care of him right? I guess that makes since and it also connects to some of the Pokedex entry about how it moved a forest and everyone living their to avoid a meteor strike. Eternatus was inside a meteor before landing at present day route 7.
