THEY are the ones who prit the most from yearly GF releases (TPC see no profits from it, they get paid for their localaisation/marketing work out the development budget) while Nintendo get publisher's fees, hardware sales and THEN their cut for the trademarks. There's also the fact, before Pokémon Centre co.(which became TPC) was even founded, Nitnedo were cracking the whip on Game Freak to make the *next* pokémon game and they wanted it for a '97 release.
Ninetendo are the crux of all your issues dudes, they're the ones ordering the yearly release off Game Freak, because Holiday sales = BIG bucks for them, especially when each new release generates a hardware unit sales bump the likes of which Xbox and Sony woud KILL for.
