>>45230752I like it, honestly. Grapploct and Luxray look great, and I think I prefer them with those color schemes. Psyduck is different, though, because I'm so used to its normal color. The yellow also fits since it's essentially a duckling. I hadn't thought about it, but I guess the degree to which the color scheme fits the design or how ingrained the original color is in my mind also has an impact on how I view the shiny. There are cases like Torchic's line, where both color schemes are fitting, or Espeon's unpopular shiny, which I like because it looks like a green alien and space has a strong connection with Pyschic types.
>>45230805Agreed, it's weird on the other two Kanto birds, but it's even weirder when Zapdos is flightless. Their powers seem more important than their flying ability, especially given the number of flying or levitating Pokémon without a Flying typing.
