>>45236794>xyexcused it for being lackluster afterwards as it was for being their first 3d game, plus i really liked the previous games, hg/ss, bw and bw2 and wasn't expecting such a drop. first half of the game was actually fine, the second half and post game was a seemingly rushed mess.
>orasonly got it because i came in expecting there to be thousands of hours worth of replayability in the frontier and because the gen 3 games at that point of time were the games i spent the most hours in on a single file with the post game facilities, expected to repeat that with the frontier but with actual competitive teams which were impossible without hacks in gen 3 but the frontier never came.
gen 6 i thought was underwhelming as a whole but i still enjoyed the games. no z to finish off gen 6 hurt kalos as a region a lot
>smexpected it to be massively improved from xy since it would be the next game on 3ds but it ended up being boring as fuck and the first pokemon game i had to force myself to beat.
>usumfell for the ultra changes meme which is my fault for not waiting to see if they actually changed any of the dozens of things i hated about the game and forced myself to beat again. rainbow rocket stuff was nice but it was just the same game all over again.
sm/usum to me was a "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" scenario. i learned my lesson after that.
>lgpesaid fuck no to that from the start and anything new learned about the game just made me want it even less.
>swshactually waited this time and saw there was no apparent changes to make me think it wouldn't be a boring as fuck adventure like sm, watched a pre release streamer and wasn't particularly impressed, that on top of all the things that were learned of pre release like forced exp share, cutscenes aplenty, overworld encounters, dex culls, etc.
