I actually love mega evolutions always thought they were cool and loved the fact they would give some pokemon that were shit a new lease on life.

I even loved the primals .

However I get that not everyone didnt like the megas.

You think Gamefreak will bring them back

I loved the concept of Mega Evolution, but having Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversion, Ultra Burst, and Z-Moves all in one team is kinda...dumb.

Limit should be one of these things on a team (Ultra Necrozma already complicates everything, desu.)

Megas are ugly as hell and the whole "one super powerful mon" idea doesn't really fit with Pokemon's themes. GF will probably rotate them back in at some point though, even before a Kalos remake. Them showing up in POGO produced a lot of hype and we still get merch of them.

A lot of the ones that were good before their mega didn't get a bump. Blaziken, Latias/Latios, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Garchomp and Alakazam. They should've just kept it to shitmons but to be fair that shit doesn't sell as well.

Yes, they’re often too OP and the gimmick is too reminiscent of Digimon. Most of them are overdesigned, too. At least most Gigantamax forms look cool.

Regional variants are a far more interesting way to revitalize older Pokemon and is actually rooted in some logic.

Mewtwo was close to irrelevant in über but mewtwo-Y is still A-rank in über and blaziken's the same story to an extent.

The concept needs reworking.

Shitmon Megas should become actual evolutions. Maybe tweak the stats a bit. Give them an actual name not mega whatever.

Retard Megas like metagross and garchomp should act like sidegrades - like porygon 2\Z. Not have boosted stats.

I dislike them. I don't like their lmao just add more spikes design. Many of the pokemon who got megas didn't need new life. They are too strong, I only played very little competetive but almost every team had one.
All in all they are proof of GF giving up on being innovative and are trying to be as safe as possible. Further proof for this are regional variants.

Give none-megas a powered up form so you're not dead in the water if you don't pack one like Dynamax

Gen 8's gimmick has good ideas they could've just used to balance Megas/ make up for Z - moves rather then what they did.

The problem with Dynamax is that after 3 turns a shitmon would go back to being shit. Megas didn't have this problem but a lot of good/usable mons got megas when they didn't need them compared to actual 400 BST shitmons.

But they usually don't, shitty pokemon get shitty regional forms most of they time.
Very bad pokemon like Mawile, Manectric and Kangaskhan certainly got revitalized by megas, but nobody uses Alolan Raticate, Alolan Exeggutor or Galarian Stunfisk.
