>>45253830>They don't have 5 years to develop Pokemon of the WildWhy don't they? Pokemon is a multi billion dollar franchise.
Why can't they make an art team dedicated to making the animations unique and high quality independent of the yearly crunch. Just like how they got a full roster of high poly models to reuse. Which was a good thing btw, the problem is their lying. A consistent model saves time remaking the model, saves time rerigging animations, and helps keep a continuous art style for the Pokemon feel.
Why can't they make a team working on SwSh *and* a team working on a different game.
One dedicated to making a lovingly detailed small world. Ignore open world, ignore wild areas, focus on easy crap and beauty.
Just a traditional jRPG on a grid with following Pokemon, high quality individualized attack animations, long maze-like dungeons (seriously a maze is one of the easiest devtime:playtime wins out there), optional dungeons themed around each Legendary (you don't even need to put them in the world, let the players find a map/item of the Legendary locations in the already existing regions and then warp them from a Pokecenter to the entrance of the dungeon and back).
Have a dickish rival that you want to smack down, and a supportive friend (who doesn't give a tonne of free items)
Do it passably, with a hint of heart, and everyone would call it the GOAT.
