It's an interesting mon in the way its shaken up OU. If you don't have a good ground type or something with lightningrod/volt absorb you can get swept so easily. It's kind of like a much shittier dracovish because electric has so many more counters than water.

It makes sense now why GF got rid of Hidden Power. They wanted to give us strong mons that have narrow application. Dracovish should've probably been Psychic though since type-based immunity is much more widespread than ability-based immunity.

It's literally just electrode but faster. You can't even say it's better than electrode because electrode can eat sound moves like volcaronas bug buzz or m garde's hyper voice for free

Yes because it has literally no other attacking moves worth using over it's screens utility (like electrode) and ground types are extremely common. While it does hit harder than electrode, against a switch in with a resistance or immunity it doesn't have any meaningful changes to damage calcs.

I think what you have to remember is that it's not just what he's doing on the field, there's also the pressure from the threat when he's sitting in the back. When your opponent sees him on team preview, you also can guarantee at least one mon they will bring because they need a counter just in case.

it cant, counters existing doesnt invalidate a mon, the opponent seeing a regieleki in team preview might make them hesitant to risk bringing out their landorus or something because they might need it to deal with him later on

just being on the team as a threat can massively influence switch-ins
