Thoughts on Unburden Sceptile? How do you use it? As a doubles partner for a terrain setter? A SubSeed set with a berry for singles?

Unburden+Weakness Policy is a strong combo, you can Ice Shard yourself. Its coverage is pretty shit, but it doesn't sound terrible.

What, terrain seed strats are way more common in doubles. Even stuff like Thievul can be viable as a supporter with it.

For singles it's kind of cool with zone and tapu support, a terrain seed, and SD/leaf blade/EQ/acro
Been meaning to try out a WP set with screens support, might be cool
it's not very good, but I'm sure I didn't have to tell you that
special sets are brutally outclassed
subseed is a dead niche
DD is pointless

This is why smogon is better, if your mon doesnt work in battle spot singler or vgc then is useless on cartridge but in smogon it will eventually drop to a tier where it can be used.

I liked using it in singles last gen with grassy seed SD but now I feel like I can't justify it since they nerfed grassy terrain and it was carried largely by the STAB boost

In gen IV there was a set where you would use Liechi Berry with Substitute/Leaf Blade/Rock Slide/Swords Dance and in all honest the reason that set was good was because of the boost Overgrow gives. Still would be good to use it this way and you may get a free boost of your choosing.
