>>45246899I mean, it was bad. The game keeping nearly exclusively true to RSE layouts and grids made some of the towns and routes look hideous, with everything but the humans looking worse than XY.
It was easier than RS because of the expanded options such as the Physpec split and Fairy-type without rebalancing the game around them, as well as totally ignoring Emerald’s improvements when FRLG and HGSS took in parts of their third versions.
It had some great QoL, such as the Mirage Islands, Soaring, and DexNav. But that doesn’t excuse the bad parts, such as no GL rematches, the hilariously easy difficulty (besides like the E4), dumbed down contests, no Emerald aspects besides Delta Episode, and no real post game. It also took away a good amount of French horns and powercrept us ridiculously lmao
