People massively overstate how bad DP are, it has pretty much everything but the BF and a much shittier dex availability, if you think DP is garbage but Platinum is a masterpiece then you clearly don't like Sinnoh very much.

I strongly dislike most of the FRLG sprites, and do prefer the charm of the originals, but that's very subjective ofc. And I mostly dislike the sevii island interruption during the main story, however nowadays I mostly do meme challenge runs and stuff so the post game isn't a big deal to me either

I never really gave Sinnoh a go and I think I’m gonna grab Diamond or Pearl over Platinum. I’m so heavily invested in gen 3 and I have no interest in transferring my Battle Frontier Pokémon from Emerald or breeding up new ones so I won’t be missing much especially since I have a copy of HG if I ever really feel the need to go through the gen4 Frontier again
