I still don't understand what the Flamethrower on Electrivire is supposed to accomplish, it doesn't flip the Magnezone fight in any shield scenario, and is 100x worse against the ground-types he fears.

I think it's intentional since it's a "coupled" set of CD's. It's just... not good for Electrivire.
Honestly though it's kind of GREAT for Magmortar though isn't it? Having fangs against water types that may otherwise farm it down for free? Brick break is too shitty to be a servicable "anti-rock" move.

Honestly the thought of Wonder Guard in PvP sounds like a nightmare. If it was like teams of 6 and you got a preview before picking your 3 mons that'd be one thing, but with just blind 3v3 it'd be a pain to basically be obligated to pick at least a few dark/flying/fire/ghost/rock moves or you get cheesed out.
Do most teams have at least some of that coverage? Yes, but still.

Ah I see.
Last night I went on an hour-powerwalk, letting my gotcha do all the heavy lifting while I checked every stop in my local area of the city. The only issue is those fucking "win 2 raids".
50-50 to get some shit I don't need, and it's a huge fucking pain to actually line up 2 raids while not having to remote raid or go way the fuck out of the way.
Do you go exclusively for the catch 18's, or do you take any and all?

Spin stops, look for "Catch 18 Ghost" "Catch 18 Dark" or Win 2 raids.
Win 2 raids is either Yamask OR Spiritomb though, so if you don't want to waste raid passes on Yamask (when you can find a perfectly good Yamask shiny in the wild) skip that last quest.
You have until Nov 3rd.

you need to be more specific and mention that it only works this way through special rocket related research lines. the super rocker radar is always given out only as a reward in those lines, not as a drop from something else.

This is also tied to a Special Research (which is what ACTUALLY rewards the Super Rocket Radar), which used to be monthly, but took a break during Rona Quarantine.
One is running right now, it's named some shit like "The Shadowy Threat Looms" or whatever.

Yes, this is correct.
As an interesting side note: You can save those researches by 'skipping' a boss and redeeming both quests in a later month. I think you can only stockpile one research however, as when you redeem a stockpiled chain, you only get the "newest" new Research, not the "next" research.
An exception to the above was the Go Fest mini-research-chain which didn't count as one of the above conventional chains.

Sucks to hear that mate, I paid like 70 bux in my own local currency for a Gotcha (not evolved or ranger) and it's been super reliable and faithful. Sometimes the auto-catch turns off and it disconnects every 30-60min (but that's expected), but if I'm passively playing that's fine because I can just fix it. It's been a huge asset to me.

It's a broad term but it has a general meaning.
If my gardevoir has 7 or less defense, it takes 4 dmg from a dragon breath. IF it has 8 or more Defense, it takes 3 dmg from a dragon breath.
Thusly, "8 def is the breakpoint" is a thing.
This also applies to the atk stat in leagues where you don't want max atk, or for example for HP:
14 and 15 HP on a Houndoom have the same Max HP
13 or less HP IV has 1 less actual Hit points. You could say 14 hp iv is a breakpoint.

USUALLY this is Def vs Atk though.

problem is, everyone has to have a damn good team otherwise you might get a team wipe or two and that can be expensive for revives and potions.

similar, my nephew tries to curveball his throws and hits like 1 in 4/5 throws
but at least he doesnt use berries
but he does tend to use ultra balls since he sees that i hoard them unnessarily `800 ultraballs

How do you know which final stage Pokémon you should keep multiples of? Lapras? Venusaur? Groudon? Etc.
