Fucking smogonfags banned gene again. They do that every gen because they know gene is keeping a lot of the other stuff in check with espeed and scarf sets, now they'll have an excuse for more bans.
It didn't even have HP ground for heatran anymore, and its speed tier is just not good in this meta.

Ideally, the most popular metagame should be as close to what is actually obtainable on cart as much as possible. The chances of getting a perfect, 31 IV event mon are extremely slim, and you only get one distribution per copy of the game. Being able to use mythicals and mascot legends as if they were just regular Pokemon is stupid.

Then by definitely it doesn't matter the chances of getting a perfect mon, competitive should be filled with flawless mons since they're obtainable within the cart

It's own 4MSS, without SD you can't break defensive teams, without protect you can't break offensive teams, running both means no coverage for the likes of Toxapex who'd wall you eternally if you lack EQ and so on.

And given how fast the game has become, it's not hard to outspeed Blaziken anymore, and Kyurem-Black making Scarf Dragapult and Ditto pop back up into OU viability doesn't help Blaziken either.

You dont need to do it all at once. You can force your opponent to play awkwardly until it finds out your move slots and hope they have enough pokemon to actually kill it and the rest of your team. So long as it keeps speed boost and its ridiculous STABs it will always be way too much. Toxapex also doesnt like knock off from any blaziken and the blaziken can always run EQ. For anything else it has a massive movepool to use. Its one of the only pokemon that can match scarf ditto if it runs protect.

3 out of the 4 moves blaziken runs are static and the last one depends on your team. Whatever blaziken cant do, the rest of your team makes up for it but blaziken still does offense way better than most. Easily around the same level as Naganadel.

Tons of Scarfers and even faster shit like Dragapult and Regieleki can outrun it after boosts. In the case of Regieleki, with Timid, it outruns Adamant Blaz at +2 and LO boosted TBolt OHKOs. Z-Moves are gone so it can't blast through checks. It's kinda frail and has wicked 4MSS since SD is required and foregoing Protect requires you to be balls to the wall aggressive and making risky plays.

If you ask me, that applies to a lot of offensive pre-CT mons because even if Blaziken can't do everything at once nor does it auto-win the game the minute it has a free turn, it WILL kill take down 2 mons before it finally dies and Blaze's teammates capitalize from it, much like any other wallbreaker in OU before, just a ot more consistent at beating epic toxaclefknight stall squads.

Blaziken gets almost no setup opportunities in this meta.
It has really bad 4MSS.
It ends up killing itself really quickly with recoil and life orb.
It's speed tier is downright bad, even at +1.
Checks like Slowbro, Fini, Pex, Hippo etc are not being forced into teams in an unnatural way, they would be getting use regardless of Blaziken. They also tend to form cores with each other so even if Blaziken has coverage for one it can't beat the other.

I think people right now are being very shortsighted about Blaziken. It's flying under the radar because the other unbanned Pokémon are even more broken, but as the others get banned and the meta slows down it could easily (and probably will) get out of hand.
